the daily visitations of the clatter

about

this recording of the glasgow underground was so loud that it overloaded in several places and the sound is heavily distorted. rather than being a fault in the recording this captures traveling on the underground well.

the title refers to the stories of plague pits that where, according to 19th century urban legends, found between west street and shields road. 'the clatter' was a glowing orb that emerged from the tunnel walls, filling the entire tunnel with the sound of crashing metal. it is said that faces of the dead could be saw inside the fog, twisted in pain.

though there have been no reported sightings of the entity since 1897 the underground has caused concern with it's noise levels particularly for workers.
