who gives and who takes comfort is less important than the enacting of a ritual signifying 'we are together' (for Ela and Florek)

albinobone Veldon gives written context to this piece, but the sounds she generates render her sentiment completely opaque while simultaneously delivering a blank canvas upon which to project our own experience and meaning.

Aesthetically, this is a single, musicless thrumming tone, like standing next to a mysterious device, which I try to do whenever possible.

about

this is for my friends ela and florek, florek being ela's cat who passed away recently.

the album incorporates a piece of folklore from Devon regarding a haunted farm where a ghost takes your hand in the middle of the night as if seeking or giving comfort.

rest in love, florek the well traveled.
