taking the 'tenebrae responsoria' as a starting point (and in particular gesualdo's 'responsoria et alia ad officium hebdomadae sanctae spectantia') this lengthy work was prompted by a discussion of how we remember and pay respect to the dead but also how we continue with our own lives and how we cope with mental illness.

this is a journey from darkness to light.

The work is split into three sections that signify both the three days that the 'tenebrae responsoria' would be sung but also the three days between Christ's crucifixion and resurrection (any references to cage's 'a valentine out of season' are entirely intended.)

This is intended to be a single, three hour long piece but upload restrictions do not allow that

On the final track I was finishing the part in Call of Cthulhu where Johansen’s strange and horrific journey to R’lyeh is being recalled. It’s described as an ancient cyclopean city of non Euclidean geometry that no human could build. Angles and perspectives are constantly shifting. I think it fits perfectly with the final track that mentions the Fata Morgana. Dionysus Virus
