this is the final part of a trilogy of works based around the great anglican hymn 'abide with me'

this began as a single piece but i couldn't leave the song alone until i had worked at it for a few days.

i have always taken great comfort from this song and i believe that it's fine words transcend religious belief itself and touch something truly human in us all
