about

i made a mistake in the upload of this album earlier in the week so here is a copy that has been fixed.

origional release notes as follows:

ten years ago i released 'wake me with tears in your eyes (for helen,)' remembering my friend helen who woke me to tell me princess diana had died.

at that point it was eighteen years since diana's death and almost ten since helen had stopped responding to calls. this weekend was twenty eight years since diana's death and i wept for helen.

And when David hath pondered well and tried,
And seeth himself not utterly deprived
From light of grace that dark of sin did hide,
He finds his hope so much therewith revived
He dare importune the Lord on every side;
For he knoweth well to mercy is ascribed
Respectless labor, importune cry and call:
And thus beginneth his song therewithal.

(Sir Thomas Wyatt)
