about

there tracks where composed for an event discussing consumerism and repetition held across mono and stereo in glasgow.

the live recording of the second track was unusable so has been recreated.

both tracks are based around the word 'repetition'

the second track was performed using a strict ritual:

1. each note represents one of the letters in the word 'repetition' and the keys are held down with masking tape

2. each two minutes a new key is pressed or released (in the second half of the piece)

3. one minute after each key was pressed the position of the second key was determined using a set formula

4. at 1.40 a small section of masking tape was ripped off, on 1.50 a length ripped off

5. at 1.55 this was placed on the key and the key pressed and secured at 2.00
